> I think it started at the changing table.............
nervous, unknowing, uncomfortable. First instinct
is to break the ice, " so how YOU doing" I say in a
silly and upbeat voice, a smile appears. " What you
got for me " is the next thing that comes to mind.
Both of us knowing, there's more than meets the eye.
It's looks like its just me, you and the business at
hand. How bout we make light of the situation, how
bout we make this fun. Next thing I know i'm singing
a song about the the sesame street character thats
depicted on the front of her diaper. " you know who
Pointing to the diaper. I sing the Big Bird song.
that is..... "
Pointing to the diaper. I sing the Big Bird song. She smiles, a grin that tells me its going to be alright.
> Its not what your doing thats important its the manner in which its done.
The simple truth is calling out to you. Make an event of everything, whether it
be a prepping of the bottle or looking for the mysterious favorite binky. Just
make that moment, that action, that task the greatest show on earth. And believe
me it is! Books are fun......... "really, she's 3 months old " I ask myself. You know
what's fun, a song and dance, thats fun!! Celi is far more interested in you.
"What do you think about this so called book" I imagine here asking me. With a
few waves of the arms, different voices, gestures and finger pointing this book is
the bees knees!!!!!!!

> What a lucky man I have become, these eyes,
looking to me. Toys, bright objects and noises grab
some attention............. But what is desired most, what
brings life to those enchanting eyes, is YOUR
attention. How you project yourself is not missed
by this baby girl. When you've captured the moment, those
eyes will light up with sheer joy. She looks for even
the slightest facial expression, listens for every change
of tone or pitch in your voice. Her response is simple
and honest...... if your having fun then WERE having fun.
I wouldn't want it any other way! Araceli has such a
personality already. Every interaction is a learning
experience for the both of us. I have never had this
much fun!
